If the Teacher entered your child’s project then the certificate/award(s) will be given to the Teacher who will then forward them to your child at school. Ask your child’s Teacher for more information. If you entered your child’s project yourself, then you can pick up your child’s certificate/award(s) immediately after the Awards Ceremony at Jefferson College. See the Fair Schedule for the Awards Ceremony date and time.
Awards are provided by organizations, corporations, and individuals. Examples are medallions, certificates, checks, gift cards, special gallery displays, or scholarships. The organizations who sponsor awards select projects based on specific criteria. If your project has a sticker on it, that means you have won an award that will be announced and presented at the Awards Ceremony. See the Fair Schedule for the Awards Ceremony date and time.
Any awards not collected at the Awards Ceremony may be picked up by the child’s teacher to give to the child at school. If the teacher does not give you your award, you can make special contact with the Executive Director to make special arrangements for pick up.
See the Fair Schedule for dates and times that the Fair is open to the public.
The forms are primarily for the safety and protection of all persons and animals participating in the science project to ensure that the proper safety procedures have been followed during the development of the project. The ISEF forms for higher grade levels are also a requirement for the Mastodon Fair’s affiliation with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Our affiliation with ISEF allows the top science winners of the Mastodon Fair to move on to compete in the International competition. Science projects will not be able to finalize check-in without the necessary forms.
