Registration for the 2018 Mastodon Fair is Open Jan. 2nd – Feb. 5th, 2018

All students entering a project (1 science and/or 1 art) must register their project online  between  Tuesday, January 2nd and Tuesday, February 5th, 2018.

Cost is $10 per project (not per person) and can be paid via cash/check/credit, by volunteering 4 hours, by applying for a scholarship or at a 50% reduced rate by doing a school fundraising event for the Mastodon Fair. Sign up for a volunteer time by sending an email to Director@nullMastodonFair.org or calling 314-529-1329.

Each K-12th grade student in public, private and home schools may enter one art and one science project. Students must live in or go to school in any of the following counties to be eligible to enter:  Jefferson County, Crawford County, St. Francois County (ART ONLY), Ste. Genevieve County, St. Louis County (ART ONLY) Washington County, Missouri and Brown County, Illinois.

March 19th – 22nd, 2018 the Mastodon Fair will be held at Jefferson College Fieldhouse in Hillsboro, MO.

Volunteers are in the process of updating this website, so right now, only the information on this page is guaranteed to be accurate.

Basic Calendar Information:
Online Registration will open on January 2, 2018 and close on Tuesday, February 5th at midnight.  Registration fee is $10/project or 4 hours of volunteer time. Some scholarships may be available. The registration link will be posted on this home page starting January 2nd.
Project drop off – Monday March 19, 2018 – 1 pm – 7 pm
Judging – Tuesday. March 20, 2018 –  8 am – 7 pm
Scoring – Scholarship Judging –  Wednesday March 21, 2018 –  9 am – 8 pm
Project Viewing (5pm-6:45 pm), Award Ceremony (7-8pm) and Project Pick Up –Thursday, March 22, 2018  8:00 pm or after the Award Ceremony.
Project pick up and Fair Tear Down –  Friday, March 23, 2018  9 am – 5 pm

Mastodon Fair Awards Ceremony March 22, 2018

Please join us Thursday March 22, 2018 from 7-8pm at the Jefferson College Field House to congratulate the students and teachers who participated in this year’s Mastodon Fair art and science competitions!  All students who entered a project are invited to participate in the opening ceremony parade and receive an event medallion.  The top prizes and awards will be presented during the ceremony.

Note:  The gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mention medallions and ribbons will not be presented during the ceremony.  These medallions and ribbons will be available for pickup after the ceremony has concluded.  If the exhibit was entered by the teacher, then the teacher should pick up their students’ medallions/ribbons to deliver to their students at school.  If the exhibit was entered by the parent/guardian, then the parent/guardian should pick up their child’s medallion/ribbon.

If you are unable to attend the Awards Ceremony to pick up your prizes, medallions, ribbons, etc, then please contact the Mastodon Fair in order to schedule a different pickup date and time.
